Game server FAQ

Find, join, vote for and list game servers on JoinGameServers. Answers for players and server owners.

JoinGameServers is a free multi-game server list. Browse private multiplayer communities by game, compare votes and live player counts, then connect with one click — Minecraft, Rust, FiveM, Counter-Strike, DayZ, ARK and hundreds of other titles.

Open a game from the homepage (for example Minecraft servers or Rust servers). Sort by top ranked, online players or newest listings, then use filters for tags, country, version, map and online status.
On a listing, click Connect for a one-click join (Steam, FiveM and similar links) or copy the IP from the server page.

Anyone can vote — you do not need an account. You can vote once every 24 hours per IP, and per account if you are logged in.
Servers with more community votes rank higher on the game server list, so active Minecraft, Rust and FiveM communities stay visible. If the owner set up vote rewards, you may be asked for your in-game username so they can send a reward.

The directory covers popular multiplayer games and niche titles: Minecraft, Rust, FiveM / GTA RP, Counter-Strike 2 and CS 1.6, DayZ, ARK, Valheim, Terraria, Hytale, TeamSpeak, Discord communities and many more. Use search on the homepage or open a game to see its ranked server list.

Yes. Creating an account and adding a game server listing is free. After you submit, an admin reviews the listing. Once approved, players can find, vote for and join your server from the public list.

New listings stay pending until they are approved. Check the status in your dashboard. If it stays pending for a long time, contact us. After approval, your server appears on that game’s list and can show up under New Game Servers.

If you want to reward players after they vote, open Dashboard → Edit server → Vote Rewards. You can enable a website postback and/or Minecraft Votifier (classic or NuVotifier).
Players then enter their username when they vote. See the Voting Check page for setup details, testing and the service name JoinGameServers.

No. Guests can browse the game server list, open a server, click Connect and vote. An account is only required to add or claim a listing, save favorites and manage vote rewards.

Use a direct join link when the game supports it, for example:
steam://connect/IP:PORT
fivem://connect/cfx.re/join/CODE
Players can then click Connect on the list instead of copying the IP. You can still fill IP and port for query and display.

Yes. In the server form you can set a banner image URL and an icon. They appear on the server list cards and the server page. You can also open Banners on any approved server page to generate live HTML or image widgets for your website, Discord or forum.

These are optional. Wipe date is useful for Rust and other survival servers. The mods list describes plugins or packs. Whitelist and free-access flags tell players how they can join before they click Connect.

Open the server page and click Claim Now. Log in with Steam, Discord or email, then prove ownership with one method:
• Put the verification code in your live hostname/MOTD
• Publish the code in /.well-known/jgs-claim.txt on your website
• Add a DNS TXT record on _jgs-claim.yourdomain
• Enter an existing claim token if you have one

Use the language menu in the header. Your choice is saved for later visits. Game names and server listings stay the same; menus and help text switch language.

Yes, when you are logged in. Open a server page and add it to favorites, then find the list again under Dashboard → My Favorites.

We query supported game servers in the background (GameQ) and show online status, player count and a history chart on the server page. Counts refresh as players browse the list; they are not a live in-game overlay.

Open any approved server page and click Banners (also linked from the dashboard). Pick a size, change colors and chart options, then copy HTML, Markdown, BBCode or a direct URL.
Use HTML for websites that allow iframes — optional real-time updates refresh the widget about every 30 seconds. Use the image option for Discord, forums and signatures; images refresh about once a minute.
